KB Financial Group announced on the 30th that it has selected 15 startups with the potential to grow as collaborative partners in the 'KB Startups' program for the second half of 2024.

'KB Startups' is the first startup incubation program in the financial sector, operated by KB Financial since 2015. Including the 15 companies selected this time, a total of 300 startups have been chosen as 'KB Startups' so far.

Firstly, the company 'Filelr', which has technical capabilities in the generative AI field, provides a solution that prevents inappropriate exposure of corporate advertisements through video contextual analysis using AI. 'KLQube', which has AI-based sign language translation technology, is expected to collaborate with KB Financial in the future to offer sign language consultation services for hearing and language-impaired customers.

In addition, AI-related startups such as 'Mago (Voice Recognition AI Solution)', 'SmoreTalk (Generative AI Images)', 'Toggle Campus (AI-Based Financial and Accounting Search Solution)', and 'AI Spera (Cyber Threat Intelligence Response)', as well as recently highlighted data startups such as 'Cubic (Synthetic Data Generation)' and 'PitchDeck (Private Company Data)' have been selected for 'KB Startups'.

KB Financial is planning to seek collaboration with major group affiliates such as KB Kookmin Bank, KB Securities, KB Insurance, KB Kookmin Card, and KB Life Insurance in various fields.

Furthermore, the selected 'KB Startups' will receive various step-by-step scale-up programs including ▲startup-exclusive space located in Gwanak, Seoul ▲management consulting from internal and external experts ▲internal and external investment opportunities including group CVC funds ▲support for collaboration and recruitment with KB Financial affiliates.

A KB Financial official stated, “This time, many companies with business models and technical capabilities integrating the recently highlighted AI technology have been selected for KB Startups,” and added, “We will actively support startups with excellent capabilities to grow as collaborative partners for digital financial innovation through KB Financial's differentiated nurturing and support programs.”
