The Korea Investment Accelerator announced on the 13th that it has co-hosted the '4th Media Content Startup Contest 2024' with the SBS Cultural Foundation and selected 5 outstanding startups, including artificial intelligence (AI) companies.
More than 300 startups applied for this contest. After evaluations by experts from Korea Investment Accelerator, Korea Investment Partners, and SBS Technology Research Institute, 5 companies were selected.
The final selected teams are Inshorts, a specialist in AI video (CEO Lee Geon-chang), Hudson AI, a dubbing specialist based on multimodal AI technology (CEO Shin Hyun-jin), Mago, a voice AI builder specialist (CEO Ko Hyun-woong), Clebrain, a music sheet learning platform based on sound recognition (CEO Park Woong-chan), and Lasker, a digital advertising specialist based on AI (CEO Yoo Soo-jin).
The awarded companies will receive cash prizes and opportunities to participate in the Barun Donghaeng program of the Korea Investment Accelerator’s accelerating program and investment review opportunities.
A representative from the Korea Investment Accelerator stated, "Through the preceding three contests, exceptional startups have been recruited, and collaboration cases have emerged not only with the SBS Cultural Foundation but also with SBS headquarters," and added, "We hope to meet startups that can solve the problems faced by the current content industry in the future."
