The 'KDB STARTUP Demo Day' aimed at unicorn startup growth goals, held at the Seocho Plenty Convention on the 20th, successfully concluded.

The KDB STARTUP Demo Day was organized by the Korea Development Bank and the Korea Development Bank Foundation (Chairman Kang Seok-hoon, Korea Development Bank) and hosted by the Korea Young Entrepreneurs Foundation (Chairman Han Jeong-hwa). The morning session featured a sharing of results from KDB entrepreneurial education, followed by the final demo day starting at 4 PM.

During the KDB entrepreneurial education sharing, excellent case presentations from 16 universities were held. Teams from Ewha Womans University (N-Dorfin), Dankook University (Barojap), Daejeon University (for Us), Gyeongsang National University (Vision Link), Suwon University (SWAP-ITEM), Woosong University (BUMPY), and Chung-Ang University (Gichul Doctor) received the Korea Development Bank Chairman’s Award, gaining opportunities to participate in post-support programs for strengthening entrepreneurial capabilities and receiving entrepreneurship scholarships.

Starting at 4 PM, the finals demo day for the 7 teams that rose through a competitive ratio of 98:1 took place. As a result, TIM Robotics received the grand prize (100 million won), Softionics won the excellence award (50 million won), while Some Other Place, Mago, Eight Studio, MetaDX, and LeMonk each received excellence awards (10 million won).

A representative from the event stated, “It was meaningful as this event allowed entrepreneurs to take a new leap by reorganizing their business strategies to aim for global unicorn startups,” and added, “We will continuously support excellent startups from early incubation to attracting investments and entering the global market, so that the South Korean economy can regain vitality and achieve a quantum leap.”

Meanwhile, in the event lobby, various experience booths were operated for participants, including personal color diagnosis, AI fragrance experiences, AI caricature creation, a photo wall, racing games, and an RC car play zone, along with various souvenirs and prizes through a lottery.
